How can I book the studio?

You can book VSPN Studio via our online form, email, or phone. We recommend booking at least one week in advance to secure your preferred date.

Are the hours flexible?

Yes. VSPN Studio is available 7 days a week with flexible start and finish times for both full-day and half-day bookings. Weekend sessions, early starts, or late-night shoots may incur additional fees.

Do you offer discounts for students or charities?

We offer a 15% discount off our studio hire rate for charities, students and education providers. If you’re a photography student working on graduation projects, we may also provide discounted hire fees, and when available, our founder can offer basic technical guidance.(Discounts do not apply to commercial shoots.)

Do you offer long-term studio rental discounts?

Yes. If you require ongoing studio use—whether as an individual, school, or company—we are open to discussing tailored long-term arrangements. Please contact us to explore the options.

Do you offer long-term office rentals?

Yes. We have a small office available for long-term lease. We’re also exploring which industries might be the best fit for this space, so if you’re interested, we’d be happy to discuss the possibilities with you.

Can the studio be used for events?

Yes. VSPN Studio has hosted photography workshops, makeup workshops, and small launches. The space includes two white walls of different sizes for projection, along with a high-brightness projector. The largest wall can display up to a 7-metre-wide (300-inch) screen. Please note that event bookings may incur additional charges.

What equipment is available in the studio?

We provide a wide range of photography gear, including lighting, backdrops, and reflectors. A full list of available equipment can be found on our specifications page.

Do you have 3-phase power?

Yes. The studio is equipped with two 32A 5-pin 3-phase outlets on the floor and an additional outlet mounted on the ceiling.

Is the lighting grid adjustable?

Yes. The lighting grid is adjustable, but any repositioning must be carried out with assistance from VSPN staff.

Does the studio allow vehicle entry?

Yes. The studio has a roller door that allows vehicles to drive inside. Please note that driving onto the cyclorama for shoots incurs additional fees.

Can the studio be blacked out?

Yes. The studio features a blackout roof and motorized black blinds, allowing you to block out nearly all external light for full creative control.

Is the studio suitable for recording audio?

The studio is not fully soundproof. While we take measures to minimize noise, occasional sounds such as rain, wind, or birds on the roof may occur. As there is a second studio upstairs, some noise transfer is also possible. If audio recording is essential, please inform us when booking so we can coordinate Studio 2’s schedule for a quieter environment. For dedicated audio recording, our downstairs multipurpose room offers the best sound isolation within the facility. We also recommend booking after 5:00 pm, when the building is typically quietest.

How is studio hire time calculated?

Booking time runs from the reserved start time until the last member of your group leaves (as recorded on CCTV). Late arrival does not extend your booking. All setup and pack-down must be completed within your booked hours—we recommend allowing at least 30 minutes at the end for this. A fixed $100 fee applies if you exceed your booking by more than 15 minutes (including the 30-minute pack-down allowance).

What are your studio rules and guidelines?

All rules, guidelines, and parking instructions are outlined in the hire agreement – please read it carefully when booking. In addition, every person entering the studio must complete the induction form to confirm they understand the safety and usage requirements.

Can I bring pets into the studio?

We love pets, but to keep the studio safe and comfortable for everyone, they’re not usually allowed. If you’d like to bring an animal for your shoot, just let us know in advance.

I’ve arrived at the address. Where is the studio?

When you arrive at 830-850 Princes Highway, Springvale, enter through the first gate and drive straight ahead. You’ll see the black VSPN sign mounted above, which marks the studio location.

Where is the best place to park our cars?

Up to 3 vehicles can park directly in front of Unit 26 (2 marked spaces plus 1 temporary space in front of the roller door). Additional parking is available with 12 street spaces and 15 visitor spaces within the complex.
Please do not park in neighbors’ spaces.

Is there a lighting technician or studio assistant on site?

Yes. When available, our studio manager can assist with lighting setup and operation during your hire. If you’d like dedicated on-site support for the duration of your booking, an additional fee will apply.

I have something that needs to be photographed but don’t have a photographer. Can you help?
